| Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeros Review - PS4 |
25th April 2014
Hey guys n gals so for my second ever review I will be talking about a game which was hyped but the end result was.... meh. The game is none other than Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zero for the PS4
Ok so the story is about Snake (which for all the MGS fans its Big Boss which is the original Snake and the father of Liquid Snake and Solid Snake) as he makes his way through a base to save two hostages and... well that's it...
The game takes no less than a total of 1 hour and 22 minutes to finish this demo.. Yes it's nothing more than a demo which you have to pay for! Yeah you get a code n all for the official game but damn Kojima!! 38 euros for a frikkin demo?! SERIOUSLY?!
Anyways back to the actual game itself. Well graphic wise its simply STUNNING I mean I was constantly in awe at the graphics because it is absolutely amazing. The voice of Kiefer Sutherland (the guy who plays as Jack Bauer in the series 24) made a perfect voice for Snake. The enemy AI is amazing as well as they have the actual sense of soldiers and you feel like you literally are fighting veteran soldiers. The feel of the controls is perfect as well and I found the touch pad of the PS4 to work perfectly for the game. The atmosphere of the game is also perfectly made and you still hear that classic alert sound we all love and has been around since MGS1 so it still gives you that feeling of threat that you have been discovered and with the added slow mo effect it gives you those few seconds to kill the person who discovered you.
Overall this demo is still amazing in itself but is it actually worth buying this? Well unless you are a complete fan of the series and just want this game for your collection than yeah by all means go for it and buy this game which costs between 30-38 euros (depending on where you buy it of course) but for other people... don't bother. I mean don't get me wrong the experience in itself is one you won't soon forget but it's still comes down to the fact that you can complete this game from 6 minutes to 1 hour and 22 minutes tops (and that's with me just killing every soldier in the base and saving every hostage and watching every single cut scene)
Graphics - 10/10
Gameplay - 9.5/10
Music & sounds - 10/10
Player experience - 5/10
Time of game completion - 6 minutes - 1hr 22mins
final verdict:
When you boil this game down to it's very core I'm sorry it's still a demo and I wouldn't recommend spending your hard earned money to buy this demo unless like I previously stated your a fan of the series and just want this for your collection. Thanks
